Office Refurbishment, Kent – Project Overview
Following our successful office fit out in 2017, the client re-engaged us to enhance their open-plan office. The brief included improving workspace functionality, expanding the breakout and boardroom areas, and refreshing the overall design to create a more welcoming environment.
Office Areas
Improving the functionality of the open-plan workspace was a key focus. Our team reconfigured the layout to better define the main office and hotdesking zones by installing partitions and adjusting the floorbox locations.
The LVT flooring was extended into the office areas to create seamless pathways, and we matched skirting and door frames to the existing design. We also laid modern flecked grey carpet tiles and installed TVs for internal communications.
Boardroom
The original setup included two small meeting rooms divided by a folding partition. To create a larger, unified boardroom, we removed the partition and added a solid wall in place of a central glass pane to improve privacy and minimise distractions from adjacent areas. New carpet tiles and TVs were also installed to support virtual meetings.
Breakout Area
To enlarge the breakout space, we removed a wall separating it from a former meeting room. New flooring was installed throughout, while the client provided their own furniture. The upgraded area includes a gaming zone to promote team bonding and morale.
We also added a new sage green tea point with wood-effect worktops, complementing the LVT flooring and unifying the office aesthetic. At the rear, we replaced a bulky boxed-in boiler with a discreet built-out wall and large access panel for a clean, streamlined finish.

Rap Interiors delivered a full office refurbishment aligned with the client’s objectives. Through strategic layout changes, area expansions, and a cohesive design update, we created a modern, functional workspace tailored to the client’s evolving needs.
