Locate in Kent supports the 2024 Pride in Medway Awards
Locate in Kent has long taken pride in Medway, as a well-connected destination for business and a powerhouse – present and future – for the region’s economy.
But last Friday, we turned our attention to some of the hundreds of residents, charities and organisations who day in day out make an equally big difference to the Medway community.
The Pride in Medway Awards have been taking place for 22 years. This year we joined the celebrations as sponsor of the Charity Fundraiser of the Year category.
Sarah Bittorf, Marketing Manager, Locate in Kent, said: “We’re better known for helping businesses to invest in Kent and Medway. Events like Pride in Medway showcase some of the amazing people already here.”
“We were delighted to sponsor the Charity Fundraiser of the year category. These are people after our own heart, with the entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and passion required to raise lots for great causes.
“Our chosen winner is a great example. Emily Barker has been driven for more than four years by a devastating condition that her daughter has lived with since the age of three.
“Thanks to her hard work, awareness and much needed funds have been raised for the charity, Action for A T, and the hope that there will one day be a cure.”
