Kent born specialist search and social marketing agency, Sleeping Giant Media, are proudly celebrating their 10th birthday this year and business partners Luke Quilter and Anthony Klokkou believe their Kent based location has played a big part in their ongoing success and growth.
In deciding where to base their head offices, the introduction of High Speed 1 gave Folkestone better prospects for the business, allowing them to access the London market without having to be based in the capital.
Luke Quilter, Sleeping Giant Media CEO said: “Having the option of a high speed line to London just around the corner is fantastic for business. Clients can connect to us from wherever they might be and we can get to them just as easily.”
The company are also extremely dedicated to their team and supporting Kent’s skills sector, ensuring they recruit local staff and working with local education establishments to ensure they have the best talent coming through.
“Kent lends itself to untapped talent everywhere in the county. We are able to find some amazing skill sets in the area which we bring on board, train up on the specifics of digital marketing and help us build an amazing team. Our people are what makes our business, we know they are instrumental to our success.”
“Being in Kent has meant we have snapped up the most skilled staff possible. Not everyone wants to live and work in a big city like London, but for some reason that’s what we, as technically skilled people, think we need to do in order to progress our careers. With us being in Kent, we tap into those people that have incredible minds for digital but want to live in a more rural or coastal areas.”
Digital marketing is constantly evolving and the Kent based digital agency proudly works alongside the likes of Google to ensure they are at the forefront of any digital innovations, and leading the way in educating small businesses across the county. It was this demand from other Kent businesses that inspired the agency to create their ‘Giant Campus,’ to train businesses to do digital marketing themselves.
Digital marketing can be an extremely competitive market to succeed in these days, but this local agency continues to see year on year growth and have plenty more exciting plans ahead of them. Here’s to another 10 years of success!
