GALLAGHER GROUP COMPLETES CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW M&S IN MAIDSTONE

Gallagher Group Ltd, one of the South East’s premier building development companies, has completed the delivery of a new Marks & Spencer store at Eclipse Park in Maidstone, Kent, which opened 12 August 2020.

The construction is a true reflection of the Gallagher Group self-delivery model, with its own construction company which led the development, and sister aggregates and masonry companies, which supplied and delivered building materials from its own nearby Hermitage Quarry. These include aggregates, concrete and dressed Kentish ragstone, which has been used extensively across the store’s façade and external areas.

“As a Kent-based company, it was important for us to use local materials and include Kent’s heritage within the design and construction, which is why we opted for Kentish ragstone, amongst other resources, to help us pay homage to the store’s location and shine a light on Gallagher Group’s masonry expertise.

“The new M&S store involved a significant investment and demonstrates confidence in Maidstone as the business capital of Kent, where companies can establish and flourish. Our team has worked above and beyond to ensure this store is unique in its design and quality to become an iconic local landmark for years to come.”

The new M&S store joins an array of businesses already based at the Eclipse Park, including Next, Knights Plc, Wilkins Kennedy, DHA Planning and Whitehead Monckton.

Led by store manager, André Brincat, the M&S store will offer the community extensive M&S clothing, food and home departments, including a 130-seat M&S Café.

The store will be located in Eclipse Park, Maidstone, ME14 3EN, and will open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 9pm, and on Sunday from 10:30am to 4:30pm. It is accessible via Junction 7 of the M20 and will offer 260 free car parking spaces for customers.
